Other Bits and Pieces
There is surprisingly little original Peggy Fortnum illustrated merchandise prior to 2015. The successful StudioCanal Paddington bear films have increased interest in Paddington and Fortnum’s illustrations are now being used on a wide variety of items including calendars, fabrics and wallpaper. However, earlier Paddington bear merchandise was mainly adapted from designs based on: the Film Fair animated TV series, the Gabrielle design for Paddington ‘Teddy’ bears, and the work of other Paddington bear illustrators which was more targeted at an even younger audience.
