Newnes probably reprinted for several years from an unchanged textblock.

The copy shown is likely first Newnes issue and I have only seen this title in yellow boards.

The dustjacket illustration is credited to Andrew Gascoigne. The text is unillustrated. 

‘First Published in 1938’ stated to rear of title page.

Although the author is given as Angela Dawn this appears to be a pseudonym. Additionally, the Newnes Catalogue for 1938/39 credits both Love Tide and Sea Fever to Angela Dawn which as Sea Fever was published in 1936 by Florence A. Kilpatrick it is probable that Love Tide’s authorship is confirmed.
